Steve Rastin, Barrie personal injury lawyer, tells that the growing intersection between employment and disability law principles is highlighted in recent case law surrounding long-term disability (LTD) insurance.

The complexity of the relationship between disability and employment law has been increased as a result of the release of a new case by the province’s top court. A three-judge panel of the Ontario Court of Appeal ruled that even though he waited until after he left the job where he was covered to apply for benefits, a man was still able to claim LTD payments.
