For over 20 years, Steve has focused on assisting clients in the area of personal injury law. He has argued and won cases before all levels of the court, including the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Steve has built his reputation by never being afraid to take on a challenge and stand up for what is right. He and his team of skilled lawyers and staff have repeatedly changed the landscape of the law by earning precedent-setting legal decisions that benefit not only his own clients, but injured people across Ontario.

Steve is the immediate past president of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA). During his presidency, he advocated for accident victims and lawyers through the development of the OTLA Code, during the ABS debate and on a variety of Court Reform initiatives. He is a frequently requested speaker for legal conferences aimed at educating both lawyers and health care professionals. He is the author of various legal publications and reference materials. In addition to his work with OTLA, Steve is also a member of the Ontario Bar Association and the Advocates Society. He is also active in his community having held positions as President of the Rotary Club, Chair of the Huronia District Hospital Board, Chair of the Ministry of Health's Simcoe-Muskoka Hospital Network, and member of the Police Services Board.

Steve has been recognized for his advocacy and community work including being awarded the Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, the Simcoe Muskoka School Board's Trustee Tribute Award, and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Georgian Bay Cancer Centre. He has recently been nominated by Canadian Lawyer as one of Canada's Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers.
